After leaving the Skyrail, it was on to another award-winning eco-adventure. Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is a true wildlife sanctuary created on a World Heritage location and located between Port Douglas and Cairns. Our visit started with lunch, then it was on to wildlife sightings and crocodile feeding.

We listened and watched as the gamekeeper described the crocodiles’ habitat and behavior and fed several crocs scrawny plucked chickens suspended from a long pole.

A boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon allowed us to get up close and personal in the crocodiles’ own habitat – but not too close!
