Our tour of Wellington ended in the early afternoon at the Te Papa Tongawera National Museum. After a one-hour tour, the rest of our afternoon was free, and it was an easy decision to stay at the museum. I visited the Mountains to Sea, Awesome Forces, Blood Earth Fire, Mana Whenua, Tangata o le Moana, Te Marae, Treaty of Waitangi, Passports, and Bush City exhibitions and also took a quick stroll through the Arts Te Papa (national art collection). I got in some shopping at the Te Papa Store before heading back to my hotel.
