Our bus driver talked about New Zealand sheep, deer and cattle farming on our drive from Te Anau to Queenstown this morning. We had a quick photo stop at a deer farm.
I took these photos of a sheep farm located across the road from our rest stop in Kingston. Our tour director said it was late for snow in this area (it is early spring “down under”).
One of my favorite tour photos – a flowering tree against the backdrop of snow-covered mountains
Views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables from our bus
Upon our arrival in Queenstown we stopped at the Amisfield Winery for wine tasting and a wonderful lunch. Amisfield specializes in Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines. The weather was noticeably warmer with clearing skies.
