I took these pictures on the road from the Alice Springs airport to the town proper. Located in the Northern Territory, Alice Springs is halfway between Darwin and Adelaide, and the surrounding area is basically scrub dessert. Rumor has it that there is a joint American/Australian military communications analysis center for the Southern Hemisphere in this area.

Todd Mall is the “happening place” in Alice Springs and the location of Mbantua Aboriginal Art Gallery.

After our lunch and shopping stop, it was back to the bus for a ride through the town and back to the airport for our flight to Yulara.
